There are (3) different ways to go solar:
1. Cash - Paying cash outright for the system includes payments of $1,000 after signing, 30% of purchase price after permit received then remainder after installation.
2. Loan - You can take out a loan through one of our lending partners. These typically come with an 18-month window to give you time to claim and apply any tax credits you may receive, after which the loan will re-amortize. We offer $0-down loan options so you can finance 100% of the system.
3. Lease/PPA - Leases and power purchase agreements are a more common way to go solar without paying cash or taking out a loan. However, when these options are selected, you forego the Federal Tax Credit because you do not own the system. This option is typically best for homeowners who simply want to pay less for electricity and may not be able to take advantage of the Federal Tax Credit.
Each system we build is customized to the homeowner's energy consumption. It also depends on your roof space, roof angles, pitch, direction, etc. This is why we have professionals on our team to design systems specifically for each home because every home is different..
No, our pricing is transparent. The price you see is the price you pay, with no hidden fees or extra charges.
The length of the process depends on a few different factors; the city in which you live, the utility company, the system size you're installing and if any major electrical upgrades are required.
If no major electrical upgrades are required, it typically takes about 23 days from signing until installation in Las Vegas and 30 days in Henderson and North Las Vegas.
We have high-quality roofing partners that can repair/replace your roof, whether it's shingle, tile or flat roofing. If you're financing your project, you're also able to finance both solar and roofing together, provided you qualify for the full amount.
For Las Vegas, our Utility company is NV Energy South. Their net metering plan for solar credits you at 75% for the excess power sold back to NVEnergy on a monthly basis. It's 1:1 for what you use and then 75% for the excess. (for example, if their rate is $.12/kWh, your excess power sold back to them on a monthly basis is at $.09/kWh. Those credits roll over month to month and year to year, for a 20-year period.
Through CW Solar Consulting, our ownership plans come with a 30-year warranty that covers parts, labor, workmanship, racking and roof penetrations. This is also fully transferable, one time, with sale of home.
For systems that our homeowners choose to lease or enter into a Power Purchase Agreement, those warranties are 25 years.
